"El Mayo" continúa negociando con EU que no haya juicio por narcotráfico

Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada García, uno of the leaders of the Sinaloa Cartel, is in ongoing negotiations with the U.S. Department of Justice for a potential plea agreement that could prevent his trial. This was revealed during a procedural hearing before Judge Brian Cogan in Brooklyn, New York. Zambada appeared in court wearing a khaki prison uniform, walking on his own, though at a slow pace, and without a beard, differing from his previous appearance.
During the hearing, he reaffirmed his decision to waive his constitutional rights to have Frank Pérez as his attorney, despite concerns about a potential conflict of interest since Pérez also represents Zambada's son, Jesús Vicente Zambada Niebla, known as "El Vicentillo."
The situation is still developing, and more information will likely be available as negotiations progress.
