Madre de joven desaparecida en Veracruz pide la intervención de Delfina Gómez

Inocencia González, the mother of Cynthia, a young woman from the State of Mexico who has been missing in Poza Rica, Veracruz, has requested a meeting with Governor Delfina Gómez to seek her intervention in facilitating the search for her daughter. This plea is prompted by concerns that members of the Veracruz State Public Security (SSP) may be involved in her daughter's disappearance, as the authorities in Veracruz have provided conflicting information regarding the case.
Mrs. González plans to travel to Veracruz soon, accompanied by the Commission for the Search of Veracruz, to formally file a missing person report. So far, the only action taken was the issuance of a search bulletin, facilitated by the General Prosecutor's Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM).
She has also called on the three levels of government to ensure her safety during these proceedings, fearing for her well-being. Despite her efforts to seek assistance at the Palace of Government in the State of Mexico, she reported that after almost 20 days of receiving a case number, she has yet to receive any further response.
Inocencia recalled that her daughter was detained on January 30, 2024, in Poza Rica for unspecified reasons. Afterward, Cynthia obtained a precautionary measure that allowed her to face her legal processes while free. During that time, she informed her mother that she had noticed a patrol from the SSP following her closely since March 15.
